Traction control, standard on all Ford Medium Duty models, can help limit tire slip during acceleration on slippery or loose surfaces, whether on or off road. Sensors measure differences in speed and, when it is determined one wheel is spinning more quickly, automatically adjust engine power (torque) to that wheel to maximize traction. Brake pressure may also be applied in certain conditions.
